"Delight thyself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4)
May the Lord ever and always
Be my delight
May my flame of desire
Burn constant and bright
May I nurture this flame
Above everything else
In the secret place of my heart
Where love for Him dwells
May my desires of heart
Unite and be one
With delighting in Him,
Father, Spirit and Son
Burn bright,
Sweet flame in my heart
Till bonfires grow
From Thy Heavenly spark

"Our hearts are restless until they rest in God!"
I love this quote!!! Praise God, He does give us rest and peace for the journey.
Love your place... I will be back often...
So glad you came to visit, Technonana. :)
Esther thanks for coming by and visiting me in my kitchen. I thought I would stop by Tender Mercies and see what you were about. What a surprising visitation I have had! I have just visited the Inspirational Feel-good Blog and have been blessed by the visit. This is a good place to come, visit and rest awhile. I will be back new friend...
Esther...you have such a beautiful name, taken from the Bible :)...thank you for your sweet visit and very nice comments...I read your profile and see we enjoy much of the same things...CS Lewis...if you look at a few post back...CS Lewis was recognized by me :) I've enjoyed my visit here and will be back...good blessings ...Dee Dee
Dustye: I'm glad you stepped out of the kitchen for a bit to stop by... and with a lovely new blog title to boot! Thanks. ;)
Dee Dee: Thanks for dropping in. Oh CS Lewis! I love the way he can make the complex accessible; he is so gifted at that. I will have to visit you again to read your post.
"Our hearts are restless until they rest in God!"
I like so much this. And it's so true.
Thanks for the visit and the comment.
I'm so sorry you still can't see the mountains, where you live. The fire situation has been just awful, as I keep reading.
I was really very happy to see that NYS is sending its {seemingly great} addition to CA's fire fighting arsenal. It really made me feel sooooooo gooooood.
Kind of like the old fashioned idea of a barn raising... In that same vein, anyway. A neighbor needs something... so neighbors give help. NYS and CA are on opposite sides of the country. But we are still _one_ country. So it's kind of like the Neighbors in NYS, helping their Neighbors in CA... with a problem. :-)
Thank you for commenting on my post! That was very sweet of you.
Hugs,
'Miss' Mari-Nanci
Jesus is the Light Of The World....
Beautiful image and words here today....
Dear ".": Thank you so much for visiting! I'm glad you stopped by.
Dear Miss Mari-Nanci: I'm extremely happy to report that blue skies are back in our neck of the woods! (Though unfortunately fires still rage in our state.) I love your analogy of a barn raising; yes, it is quite like that, and it's nice to have such good neighbors! :)
Dear Lavinia: Thank you, and I'm glad we share His light!
